: : I was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer in Jan. 2003. Had my thyroid removed and have just completed Radioactive Iodine (RAI) treatment (150 millicuries of RAI). Have had a full body ablation. Was told by my doctor that of all the cancers in the world to have Thyroid cancer has the best cure rate. Hang in there.

I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer in 1992. I had surgery and had half of my right thyroid removed. Since then I have been on medication and have been doing fine. No problems. I was told by my doctor that the thyroid is the best place to get cancer because it has less chance of reocurring. Hang in there.
