Both of you should know that any life insurance company that would be willing to give you coverage will most likely require that the person must live for two years after the policy is written. If the person passes before the two years is up then the company will simply refund the premium paid.

You should also be aware that these types of policies are very expensive due to the high probability that the person will not live long. Chances are if the person has been diagnosed as terminal, you will not be able to get coverage for them. If they are terminal, then you may want to consider going to a funeral home and begin working out a pre-payment plan with them.

If you can give me a little more info on the situation, I may be able to help. (i.e. what exactly is their current condition?) Also what state are the two of you in?
