My question is my concern about Thyroid cancer. I need to know
what the symptoms may be related to thyroid cancer is? I was never able
to ask my mom, since she has passed away now, but I am very curious as
to what symptoms she had to make her have her thyroid checked in the
first place. When she was in her late 20's or early 30's, I think, is
when doctors removed her thyroid. Ever since finding out from doctors
that generally where my mom's cancer first started, is what I really
should look out for, and for her it was her thyroid. Later in life she
had to have a breast removed, then cancer in her leg, then cancer in her
stomach which finally took her life at age 49. I am 37 now, and have my
throid checked once a year, and have been doing so for the last 5 years
or so, but am terrified by the thought of cancer after seeing how much
my mom had to go through. I am even more discouraged now since I am
having a hard time loosing weight even though I work out everyday. I
guess the smarted thing would be to have my thyroid checked again, but
it would still help me out if I knew what symptoms to look for.
